Hello ausies!
I will be traveling to your fair country next week, and staying for about a month. I am super excited and nervous about this adventure, but was hoping to get input from you guys on any particular stops I should make while there.
I will be staying in Queensland to be exact, and if you have any ideas about accessible activities "tours and the like" that I could look up I would really appreciate it.
While researching accessible tours, I kept coming across the token disability that seems to get more stage time than others, that being .. wheelchairs. Not knocking those in wheelchairs, and it's wonderful that so much is being done to make life easier for you guys, but it is also frustrating that most travel agencies think you mean wheelchair when you ask them for accessible adventures.
Anyhow, if anyone who lives in Australia, or has traveled there would like to chime in, I'm all ears!
